KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The Constitutional Committee meeting was briefly held Wednesday before being postponed to Friday.

The meeting briefly convened without entering into the agenda due to the absence of top leaders including UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, informed senior UML leader Mahdav Kumar Nepal.

During the meeting, participating leaders stressed on conclusion of the peace process prior to promulgation of the new constitution, Nepal told reporters after the meeting. The new constitution cannot be promulgated under the shadow of gun, Nepal added.
