  Cop to be axed for jewelry theft

DANG,Feb 15: A policeman accused of stealing two gold bangles from a shop under the guise of a customer is to be thrown out of his job.

Top Bahadur Thapa, an Armed Police Force policeman of Koilabas Camp, stole the gold bangles from Moti Sun Chandi Pasal in Lamahi Tuesday and was later apprehended by the police and the locals.

Thapa, 24, of Birendra Municipality-1, Surkeht is set to face departmental action, informed SP Bhagwan Malla of the armed border security force.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Deukhuri, has demanded a stern action against Thapa and demanded his dismissal form the service.
