Career counseling for  students awaiting SLC results
KATHMANDU, June 6: Himalayan White House International College (HWHIC) organized Super 30 Post SLC Career Counseling program targeting students awaiting SLC results at Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi on Sunday, June 5.

More than 1,500 students from all over the country attended the event in which successful individuals from different field talked about their personal and professional experiences in order to motivate and guide the attendees.
Among the individuals speaking at the event was Senior Endocrine Specialist Dr Jyoti Bhattarai, who encouraged the students to work on their self confidence. Similarly, Binod Das, former national cricket team skipper, emphasized on the importance of academics even when one wants to pursue a career in sports. Prof Dr Yubaraj Sangroula, former attorney general and principal of Kathmandu Law School strained on the need of discipline in high school for the holistic growth of students. He also reminded the young students that the entire responsibility of building new Nepal solely depends on the present generation.

Subhash Ghimire, Editor-in-Chief of Republica and Dr Navin Sharma, director of NAME Institute for Medical Education, also shared their motivating stories with the students.

Popular comedian Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus), who enthralled the audience with his humorous act, was also presented with a sum of Rs 200,000 by the College for the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation.

Himalayan White House International College is providing the Super 30 scholarship to 30 deserving candidates on the basis of an exam being conducted on June 10 throughout the country. So far, 6,000 applications have been submitted.
